If your muscles, ligaments and tendons are not kept active they can stiffen up and reduce your ability to move easily or at your best.
VibroGym training will help increase your range of motion. The low impact vibrations moving throughout your entire body to deliver an efficient, effective and safe way to stimulate muscles, prompt the growth of bone cells, burn unwanted fat and lose excessive weight.
Professional athletes use WBV exercise because of the vibrations that are transmitted to the body by the platform. This stimulus causes rapid, repetitive and involuntary muscle contractions. The muscles react to the vibration by contracting and relaxing alternatively and automatically.
This rapid involuntary reflex reaction (often referred to as “fast-twitch”) means you’re muscles reflexes, improving bone mass & density and muscle strength.
There have been many studies comparing WBV to conventional resistance training; mainly found in commercial gyms. Resistance training tends to recruit only 40 – 70% of the targeted muscles and muscle groups, WBV training engages nearly 100% of all of the muscles used in supporting the particular pose or posture being done. Since low-impact WBV exercise doesn’t subject the body to the physical stresses of traditional exercises, people with debilitating conditions can use WBV to help improve their health, overall fitness and most importantly, their quality of life.
Here are the few benefits of training on a VibroGym; you will likely discover many more once you start.
- Accelerates metabolism thus increasing calorie burn
- Reduces the appearance of cellulite
- Increase muscle strength and flexibility of motion
- Strengthens bones and enhancing your body posture
- Increases blood circulation and cellular oxygenation
- Reduces back pain and overall stiffness of the body
- Reduces production of the hormone Cortisol (the stress hormone)
- Stimulates lymphatic drainage, detoxing the entire body
- Enhances athletic strength increasing explosive power
- Boosts natural level of human growth hormone (HGH)
- Increases bone mass and density
- Combats osteoporosis
- Enables you to perform multiple exercises using only one machine
- Allows each and every muscle group and body part to be targeted
- Improves balance and coordination
Even if you are out of shape and haven’t been exercising regularly VibroGym training will get your body moving again easily. It is one of the safest and effective ways to stimulate and strengthen your body improving balance, and returns you to an optimal state of health and fitness.
Acute enhancement of force and power output has been reported immediately after a whole body vibration intervention (Bosco et al. 1999; 2000; Torvinen et al. 2002) . Bosco et al. ( 2000) reported that the increased power output occurred with either no change or decreased electromyography levels, suggesting that somehow the whole body vibration induces a period of enhanced neuromuscular efficiency. The duration of this acute enhancement period appears to be limited to less than an hour, so the timing of whole body vibration needs to be as close as possible to competition or training (Torvinen et al. 2002) The acute enhancement of power qualities may be due to a reflex muscle contraction in response to the vibration (the tonic vibration reflex), and it is thought that this acts on the muscle spindles and enhances the stretch reflex (Cardinale and Bosco 2003). Training studies using whole body vibration have shown mixed results, with some showing no enhancement of knee extensor strength (de Ruiter et al. 2003) while others have reported increased jumping power (Torvinen et al. CPFI, 2002). It seems likely that whole body vibration may help with training, but for athletic populations vibration alone may provide insufficient stress for significant adaptation; however, in conjunction with additional training, it may provide a useful additional stimulus
